NYC Visiting Fellowship in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

June 2, 2015 - June 5, 2015

Course Overview

The range of TMS topics and applications include the use of neuromodulation to study and treat neuropsychiatric disorders(e.g.,depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, addiction, migraine and pain), for rehabilitation(e.g.,stroke, movement disorders) and cognitive enhancement(e.g., memory consolidation), by showing the neurobiological effects of integrating TMS with EEG and fMRI and the molecular mechanisms of action in animal models, with an introduction to the physics and physiology of TMS. The best practices in clinical and research settings and regulation/standards for the field will be also extensively discussed.

The program will build on the success of the NYC Neuromodulation 2013 and 2015 conferences, which sold out in only a few weeks. We are expanding the program to include a unique and comprehensive collection of researchers and clinicians, with the goal of providing the fellows with an appreciation of the latest developments in emerging non-invasive brain stimulation techniques, and with the skills required to perform state-of-the-art Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation service.  By Adding the Visiting Fellowship in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation we intend to make NYC Neuromodulation as the premiere platform on electromagnetic brain stimulation.
